Dear colleagues !

On September 5, he passed away (67 years old) Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Geography of Kiev National University named after T.G. Shevchenko Yaroslav Bogdanovich Oleinik. We all deeply mourn the loss suffered by the economic science of Ukraine ... It is a pity that talented geographers and economists are leaving us, as did on January 1, 2004. Petr Vasilyevich Lutsishin, also an academician of the Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine, who sincerely fought for economic integration Ukraine with the European Union, which served as the basis for including it by the Tavrichesky Institute of the Crimean Academy of Sciences and the ESCR Institute (successor to the DESMC of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences and DFC) into the author's group for the 1999 State Prize of Ukraine "Main theoretical and methodological problems of overcoming systemic crises." After all, we all continue what Pyotr Vasilyevich and Yaroslav Bogdanovich fought for - for the preservation of classical education in the universities of Eastern Europe (as Polish scientists believe, Eastern Europe ends in Vladivostok). Vienna - THE MEMORY of the World TRAGEDY and COVID-19

I listen to information about the coronavirus COVID-19, but I remember Vienna in 2009 and the Monument to the victims of the most terrible epidemic for Europe - the PLAGUE, when the enraged Tokhtamysh, Khan of the Golden Horde, wishing to take revenge on the Genoese, who, during the disaster in the steppe (severe cold and horses could not punch through the frozen snow), "sold" BREAD for children to the wives of the steppe dwellers (Tokhtamysh's troops were on the march), returning and almost from the march led the troops without preparation for the attack of Kafa (Feodisia in the Crimea), the center of the slave trade in those centuries. Of course, the Genoese hid behind impregnable walls, but they rejoiced early, seeing the unsuccessful assault on the city. In the heat of anger, Tokhramysh gave the command to throw the decaying corpse of a deceased from the plague, which was not uncommon in the steppe, with a catapult into the defending city. Слушаю информацию про короновирус COVID-19, а вспоминаю Вену 2009 г. и Памятник жертвам самой страшной эпидемии для Европы -ЧУМЫ, когда разъярённый Тохтамыш, Хан Золотой Орды, желая отомстить генуэзцам, которые во время бедствия в степи (лютый холод и лошади не могли пробить копытами промёрзший снег), "продавали" ХЛЕБ за детей женам степняков (войска Тохтамыша были в походе), вернувшись и почти с марша повел войска без подготовки на приступ Кафы (Феодисии в Крыму), центра работорговли в те столетия. Конечно, генуэзцы спрятались за неприступными стенами, но они рано обрадовались, видя неудачный штурм города. В пылу злости Тохрамыш дал команду забросить катапультой в обороняющийся город разлагающийся труп умершего от чумы, которая в степи не была редкостью. Умерло бесчисленное множество не только жителей Кафы, но ЧУМА, распространившаяся по всей Европе (генуэзцы на кораблях её "доставили"), унесла более одной трети жизней европейцев. Но и к Тохтамышу пришло раскаяние - его лучший друг русский Князь тоже умер от этой ЧУМЫ ... ПАМЯТЬ о Мировых ТРАГЕДИИЯХ сохранена в ВЕНЕ ...и стоя у Памятника думал, что ничего подобного уже никогда не повторится, но как видите ...
