The volume of work performed by you is grandiose:

Helping 97 million people - the most since 2012 - in 88 countries around the world, the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) is the leading humanitarian organization fighting hunger around the world. To that end, she delivers food aid in emergencies and works with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience.
While the international community is committed to ending hunger, achieving food security and improving nutrition by 2030, one in nine people worldwide are still undernourished. Food aid is at the heart of the struggle to break the cycle of hunger and poverty.
Every day, 5,000 trucks, 20 ocean-going cargo ships and 92 aircraft are en route, delivering food and other WFP assistance to those who need it most. We distribute approximately 12.6 billion food rations annually with an average cost of US $ 0.31 per ration. These metrics are at the heart of WFP's unparalleled reputation as a rapid emergency response organization that gets the job done quickly and efficiently in the most challenging environments.
WFP's efforts are focused on relief assistance, reconstruction assistance, development projects and special operations. Two-thirds of our work takes place in conflict zones, where people are three times more likely to be malnourished than people in countries without conflict.

Помогая 97 миллионам человек - наибольшее количество с 2012 года - в 88 странах мира, Всемирная продовольственная программа Организации Объединенных Наций (ВПП ООН) является ведущей гуманитарной организацией, борющейся с голодом во всем мире. С этой целью она доставляет продовольственную помощь в чрезвычайных ситуациях и работает с сообществами для улучшения питания и повышения устойчивости.

В то время как международное сообщество взяло на себя обязательства положить конец голоду, достичь продовольственной безопасности и улучшить питание к 2030 году, каждый девятый человек в мире все еще недоедает. Продовольственная помощь лежит в основе борьбы, которая ведется с целью разорвать порочный круг голода и бедности.

Ежедневно 5000 грузовиков, 20 океанских грузовых судов и 92 самолета находятся в пути, доставляя продовольствие и другую помощь ВПП ООН тем, кто больше всего в ней нуждается. Ежегодно мы распределяем приблизительно 12,6 миллиардов продовольственных рационов со средней стоимостью в 0,31 доллара США за рацион.
