2. The demographic arc of instability will shrink. In “aging” countries, the level of economic growth may decline. Sixty percent of the world's population will live in cities, migration will increase;

3. To a large extent, as the world population grows, the demand for resources will increase. The solution to problems in one area of ​​consumer goods will be related to the level of consumption of other products;

4. Empowerment is accelerating poverty reduction and growth in the world of the middle class; raises the level of education, expands the use of new communication and production technologies, as well as medical services.

      Five scientists at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) have won major awards from the American Physical Society, the nation’s largest professional organization of physicists. A sixth award will go to a University of Maryland (UMD) professor and Fellow of the Joint Quantum Institute (JQI), at which two of the NIST recipients are also Fellows.
